Japan is now much closer. We feel we know a bit more about it thanks to Elisabeth Fernandes’s wonderful chat with us. Though we had some audio problems, the talk was inspired by the cultural richness of a small big country. There’s so much to learn about Japan that we could spend hours unveiling it. We’ll certainly be back for more.
Meanwhile, you can listen to our very special chatcast.
Some of what was mentioned:
- Historical perspective
- Cultural shock
- Food
- Geishas
- The Japanese learning English
- The JET Program
- Manners – Do’s and Don’ts
- No beard?
Note: unfortunately there were some audio problems, and in some parts it’s choppy, but stick to it. It’s worth it!
We had a blast with Mike. We traveled all the way to Australia and landed in Adelaide with passionate, enthusiastic Mike talking about his country, its beauty and problems. We couldn’t stop chatting and laughing. At WorldBridges we embarked on a wonderful trip of cultural discovery.Mike enlightened us about:
- A home called Adelaide
- The city of churches
- The Australian Accent
- The Australian way of life
- His incredible Kibbutz experience
- The aboriginal situation
- Food multicultural flavor
Thanks for the wonderful journey, Mike! We certainly have a different perspective of Australia through the eyes of a true Aussie!
Wait for more. Next month, we pack and head to Japan, our next stop.
